Phoenix Suns Extend Win Streak to Five with 129-117 Victory Over Minnesota Timberwolves

Live Coverage and Highlights from ESPN

Cam Johnson Shines with 29-Point Performance

The Phoenix Suns continued their impressive run of form on Wednesday night, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 129-117 at Target Center. The victory marked the Suns' fifth straight win and extended their record to 10-5 on the season.

Cam Johnson led the way for Phoenix, scoring a game-high 29 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field, including 7-of-12 from three-point range. Devin Booker added 21 points, while Deandre Ayton contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds.

The Timberwolves were led by Anthony Edwards' 26 points, while D'Angelo Russell added 20 points. However, the team's poor shooting performance, particularly from beyond the arc (8-of-30), ultimately cost them the game.

The Suns controlled the game from start to finish, leading by as many as 23 points in the second half. They shot a blistering 52.1% from the field and 40.7% from three-point range, while limiting the Timberwolves to 43.1% shooting from the field and 26.7% from three-point range.

With the win, the Suns remain in second place in the Western Conference standings, while the Timberwolves drop to 6-8 on the season. The two teams will meet again on January 10th, 2023, at Footprint Center.
