Anthony Edwards Sets NBA Draft Record

5'4" Guard Projected #1 Overall Pick

Edwards shatters previous record held by 7'6" Gheorghe Muresan

Anthony Edwards broke the NBA Draft record this week, becoming the shortest player ever projected to go #1 overall. The 5'4" guard has been compared to some of the greatest players in NBA history, including Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Edwards played college basketball at the University of Kentucky, where he averaged 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game as a freshman. He was named the SEC Player of the Year and a consensus first-team All-American. Edwards is known for his exceptional athleticism, ball-handling skills, and shooting ability.

The NBA Draft is scheduled for June 23, 2023. Edwards is expected to be taken by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the #1 overall pick. If he is drafted, he will be the shortest player to be selected #1 overall since Gheorghe Muresan, who was 7'6" when he was drafted by the Washington Bullets in 1993.
