Stina Blackstenius' first-half hat-trick helped Arsenal secure their place in the Women's League Cup final with a dominant victory over Aston Villa.

The Sweden international doubled her tally 10 minutes later with a header from a corner, before completing her hat-trick just before the half-hour mark with a tap-in from close range.

Frida Maanum added a fourth goal for Arsenal in the second half with a low strike from 15 yards, sealing a comfortable victory for the holders.

The result means that Arsenal will face Manchester City in the final of the Women's League Cup, which will be played at the Emirates Stadium on 24 March.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, will be disappointed to have exited the competition at the semi-final stage, but they can take solace in the fact that they have acquitted themselves well against one of the best teams in the country.
