Ariane 6 Rocket Launches for the First Time

Europe's New Heavy-Lift Launch Vehicle Debuts

Mission Delivers Satellites into Orbit

The European Space Agency (ESA) and Arianespace have successfully launched the brand-new Ariane 6 rocket for the first time. The 62-meter-tall, two-stage rocket carrying a payload of satellites lifted off from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana, on Saturday, July 9.

Ariane 6 is a next-generation rocket designed to succeed the Ariane 5 as Europe's heavy-lift launch vehicle. It features a modular and versatile design that allows it to launch a wide range of payloads into orbit. The rocket's maiden flight was a major milestone for Europe's space program, marking the beginning of a new era in space exploration.

The Ariane 6 reached orbit 18 minutes and 44 seconds after liftoff. Approximately an hour after launch, the rocket successfully deployed a series of satellites into orbit. The mission was a complete success, demonstrating the Ariane 6's capabilities and paving the way for future launches.
