Texas Alcohol Sales Law: Off-Premise Retailers
Grocery and Convenience Stores
According to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, Texas law states that grocery and convenience stores can sell alcohol from 7 a.m. to midnight.
Retail Stores
Independence Day
Most retail stores will be open on the 4th of July from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Memorial Day and Labor Day
Liquor stores in Texas can now open earlier on Sundays, starting at 9 a.m., and sell alcohol on certain holidays, including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
Thanksgiving Day
While some liquor stores may be closed on Thanksgiving Day, there are no state-wide restrictions on alcohol sales on this holiday.
