Overview

Severe thunderstorms swept through Michigan on Tuesday evening, bringing torrential rain, damaging winds, and power outages to many areas. The storms, which began around 7:00 PM local time, caused widespread damage and left thousands of residents without power.

Impact

The storms produced heavy rainfall that led to flash flooding in several areas.
